Remedial Works
Following a Legionella risk assessment, it is likely that some corrective or improvement works are identified to mitigate the risk of microbiological growth such as Legionella and bring your water systems up to compliance.
Remedial works are often identified and detailed in the “Recommendations Section” of the Legionella risk assessment report and the water system monitoring reports.
Legionella remedial works focus on improving the design of your water system by removing risks that encourage growth. These include changes such as: removing redundant pipework, removing sources of nutrients, cleaning cold water storage tanks, insulating pipework, Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) servicing and so on.

However, legionella monitoring is an ongoing requirement where inspections and monitoring tasks should be carried out throughout the year. Periodic reviews of the legionella risk assessment should also be completed.
