Did you know drinking water at the correct time maximizes the effectiveness on the body?

It’s common knowledge that drinking eight glasses of water a day is essential for the body to function properly, however, most people will tell you that they do not drink enough water. While we all know that hydration is key for good health, most are not aware that timing your consumption of water can be equally as important. Numerous scientific studies have shown that drinking water at certain times of the day can optimize the health benefits.

1) After waking up

Drink one glass of water after waking up to help activate your internal organs. Consuming water first thing in the morning helps flush circulating toxins out, prior to the first meal of the day. Unfortunately, many people reach for a cup of coffee in the morning before a glass of water. Because coffee is a diuretic, it encourages fluid loss, which is dehydrating and increases blood viscosity.

2) Before a meal

Drink one glass of water 30 minutes before a meal to help digestion, as it prepares the stomach for food by stimulating digestive enzymes and bile production. Drinking water thirty minutes before each meal will also reduce your chances of overeating.

3) Prior to and following physical activity

As we all know, staying physically fit is key for wellness, including optimal liver health. Drinking water before and after physical activity protects against dehydration. Especially for someone with a fibrotic liver, dehydration means thicker blood that makes filtration by the liver that much more challenging. Drinking water before and after a workout prevents dehydration, therefore protecting the liver from processing a backlog of toxins.

4) Before a bath

Drink one glass of water before taking a bath to help lower your blood pressure.

5) Before bed

Drink one glass of water before bedtime to replenish any fluid loss that can occur during the night. Experts don’t necessarily agree on how soon before bed, but most concur that drinking a glass before bed provides the body with water needed to aid in detoxification during sleep. Although some advocates suggest a glass right before bed, others advise having your last drink of water two hours prior to bed if going to the restroom at night is an issue.

Benefits Of Water – Beautiful Skin

Clean water helps improve dry scalp conditions

Benefits Of Water – Beautiful SkinIt’s no wonder that spa owners across the nation are turning toward filtered water systems. Many spa owners claim that regular tap water contains bacteria and minerals which can clog pores. Over time, this can mean dull skin. Experts say the cleaner the water, the better it can clean. Water filters help weed out things like and heavy metals.

The cleaner, softer water, attributes to not only clearer, but also softer skin. Heavy hard water can irritate skin. But, while spa going is a luxurious way to spend the afternoon, it’s not practical for everyone’s wallet. With a filtered water system at home, cleansing the face in your own sink can have the same radiant effect on your skin. Soft water will also help skin problems such as eczema, by allowing your own natural oils to moisturise your skin. It will also help improve dry scalp conditions.

Clean Water Helps Weight Loss

Benefits Of Drinking Clean Water – Weight Loss

The answer to weight loss is all around you. If you eat right and exercise at the intensity, frequency and duration appropriate for you, but still can’t lose those excess pounds, you’re probably just not drinking enough pure water. The metabolism of fat is actually something that the liver does when it converts stored fat to energy. Unfortunately, another of the liver’s duties is to pick up the slack for the kidneys, which need plenty of water to work properly. If the kidneys are water deprived, the liver has to do their work along with its own, lowering its total productivity, and your bodies ability to burn fat.

The problem is that though many decide to increase their water intake, very few stick with it. During the first few days of drinking more water than your body is accustomed to, you’re running to the bathroom constantly. Clean Water = Weight LossThis can be very discouraging, and it can certainly interfere with an otherwise normal day at work. What is really happening is that your body is flushing itself of the water it has been storing throughout all those years of “survival mode”. As you continue to give your body all the water it could ask for, it gets rid of what it doesn’t need. Your body trusts that the water will keep coming, and if it does, eventually, the flushing will cease. This is called the “breakthrough point.”Weight Loss from drinking Clean Water

Recommended Water Consumption

Eight glasses is okay for the average person, but if you’re overweight, you should drink another glass for every 25 pounds of excess weight you carry. You should also up this if you live in a hot climate or exercise intensely. This water consumption should be spread out throughout the day. It’s not healthy at all to drink too much water at one time.

Stay Hydrated With Clean Water

Stay Hydrated With Clean Water

Hints for good hydration:

The human body can survive 35 days without food, but only 5 days without water.

  • Our bodies consist of up to 80% water – we require 8 glasses of water a day to remain well hydrated. This is supported by many doctors and nutritionists.
  • Start off the day with two glasses of water before you consume anything else. It’ll get a quarter of your daily requirement and help you start the day on a healthy note.
  • Don’t use thirst as a measure of whether to drink water or not. Our thirst mechanism lags behind so by the time you feel thirsty your body fluids have already dipped.

Ample intake of pure water can assist in:

Health Benefits of Drinking Filtered Water

The main question we are asked here at Celtic Water Solutions is often “how is filtered water superior to tap or bottled water?” Our answer to this is filtered water from your tap or your well is the safest, healthiest, and most inexpensive way forward.

  • filtr_dowodyWater filters can greatly reduce the risk of rectal cancer, colon cancer and bladder cancer by removing chlorine and chlorine by products from drinking water.
  • Both tap and bottled water have been found to contain numerous organic and inorganic contaminants.
  • Pure water is of utmost importance for children, filtered water provides the healthiest source of water for a child’s developing immune system.
  • At present Irish tap water is being fluoridated, it is known that fluoridation in water can cause irreversible tooth enamel that can cause permanent damage.
  • During the 1970’s lead pipework was commonly used in construction of houses, meaning that lead can be present in tap water.
  • Our bodies have a natural pH level of 7.4, this level needs to be maintained in order for it to
function properly. Drinking unfiltered water that contains levels of chlorine, sulphates, and nitrates can throw this balance and as a result cause the immune system to weaken.
  • When water is 100% pure and free of contaminants consuming the recommended 8 glasses a day can benefit health in many ways, it can boost energy levels, improve mental and physical performance, and aid the removal of toxins and waste from the body by allowing proper digestion to occur.
